Doctors and Social Media – Benefits and Pitfalls

More doctors are becoming active in social media as a means to better engage, communicate with and support patients in managing health and medical care.  However, many more are cautious and/or downright concerned about its use in patient care. In this clip, Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Paul Moniz talks with Katherine Chretien, M.D., an internist, medical educator and founder of Mothers in Medicine blog.  She has conducted published research on doctors using social media and discusses both the benefits and pitfalls.
